About Me

I live in a mid-sized city in the western United States. My early career began in a family-owned business, where I worked hands-on in the warehouse, handled repairs, and performed facility maintenance. As I gained experience, I transitioned to office roles, managing bookkeeping and inventory to keep operations running smoothly.

After earning a degree in Business Marketing from a state university, I moved into sales management. Sales wasn’t my passion, so I shifted to operations, overseeing facilities, HR, warehouse logistics, and whatever else was needed to support the team. During this time, I took on network maintenance and IT tasks, discovering a real enthusiasm for technology.

In 2014, the family business was sold, and I took a role as a Special Projects Manager. The position suited my knack for tackling diverse challenges, but I missed the IT work I’d grown to love. By 2017, I transitioned to an IT-focused role, where I now lead a team of professionals working on complex projects. Navigating technical challenges and guiding a talented group through intricate processes is deeply rewarding.

Outside of work, I’m driven by hobby projects that push my limits. Whether it’s experimenting with electronics, exploring motorsports, or diving into home server setups, I’m always learning new skills that build on each other. Currently, I’m working on a custom networking project, which I’ll share more about on my blog as it develops.

As I rebuild my website, I hope you’ll find something inspiring or useful here. At the very least, I encourage you to try something new and take action!
