WONKO’S MINOX FILM MASK

This is a mask I made to scan my Minox negatives (8×11 format) in my 35mm Minolta Dimage Scan Dual Scanner.

To use this PDF file, you can download it by either clicking here, or on the image below.

Minox Film Mask

The file is called MNOXMASK.PDF. Open it with Adobe Acrobat, and just print out on black vellum.

Use a sharp knife and a metal straight edge or a cutting board of some type. I would recommend making the internal cuts after the mask has been folded on the middle line to get them properly lined up.

For a better visual of how to make this work, go to Godfrey DiGiorgi’s page, which inspired its creation: [Placeholder URL]. Godfrey not only has a great description of the theory of this mask, but is a valuable reference for most things Minox.

I would like to thank Tom Desaulniers for reminding me of an error on my original file. That has been corrected (along with a couple of other things I had noticed).

Let me know if you find this useful, or have suggestions. I look forward to your e-mails!
